Decided to pick my trainers up in October 2014 and enter myself in for a half marathon (Bath Half 2015) I would run this half marathon 8 months after giving birth! Plain stupid? Who knows…. Delighted to run it in 2:45, not bad seeing that I had a lot of post-pregnancy weight still to lose and it marked the end of a very long IVF journey, a run which I dedicated to my friends still battling through.
Since then, I have completed two 10k’s, (Bristol 10k 1:05 and Race for Life Cirencester 1:02), and have three half marathons (Bristol Sept 15, Bath March 16 and Swansea June 16) then a full marathon (Gloucester) in August 2016 to complete.
On this journey I wanted to share my love of the Cotswolds, my new home, by finding new routes and uploading those (check out my Trail Raider series), for locals and anyone visiting the area who fancies a run!
You can find me on Twitter too @boudicablues and on Instagram run_the_cotswolds.
I am uploading too helpful tools for starting out, not just for new Mum’s but for anyone starting out, this is accommodation reviews, nutrition, training plan links and a whole lot more.
I am in my 40’s and in the best shape of my life, running has given me so much, new friends, a new body and tons more confidence, which I hope to share with you…
This blog will also detail my travel adventures too, an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World and the others we take with our toddler Mia, our little two year old monkey!
Please check out my YouTube channels:

All views on my blog posts are personal, I am not an expert in running or nutrition, just learning like everyone else!
Many thanks 🙂
